My
conversions of some old Games Workshop Space Fleet
miniatures to Full Thrust (Fleet Book)
|

|
Background
Before
Battlefleet Gothic, Games Workshop released a game called
Space Fleet back in 1991. It came with 2 Imperial ships
and 2 Eldar ships and you rolled the dice into the box top. It was very
simple but soon issues of White Dwarf added a bunch more ships to the
game and metal miniatures were released. Of those miniatures, these all
had the same general shape and I thought they would look great on the table
all together.
Design
Philosophy
Hull
strength is average. Screens are prevalent except for the old IRONCLAD
class of Heavy Cruiser. Mainly beam batteries with offsetting arcs and a
Pulse Torpedo foreword.

GOTHIC
class Battleship (Modified) The plastic version of the GOTHIC Battleship that came with the original version of Space Fleet is a bit longer and has extra detail in the front neck area of the mini. Thus it should be a modified command version of the GOTHIC Battleship Mass 124 Cost 428 Hull 36 (Average) Thrust 4 FTL 3 Fire Controls 1 ADFC 5 PDSs Level 2 Screens 2 Class 1 Beam Batteries 3 Class 2 Beam Batteries (F/FP/AP, F/FS/AS, All Arcs) 2 Class 3 Beam Batteries (F/FP/AP, F/FS/AS) 2 Pulse Torpedoes (2xF)
