"Black
Water Navies rules are for any
Space Ships that you already have. The
setting is the Orion Arm during the
year 2284. You are able to pick
from 92 nations (humans and aliens),
810 modifiable ship classes. Sizes
vary from small shuttle-size crafts to
huge battle wagons. The table size can
vary from 2-foot square (if you use
centimeters) to 4x8 (if feet are
used). Included are rules for all
aspects of war in space: 3d, mines,
ECCM/ECM, subs, armed shuttles,
lasers, plasma, asteroids, surface
weapons, etc.
Each ship is fought
separately. Players can control as
many as they wish, usually 2 large to
4 small. There is a point system for
those desiring equal battles.
Each ship class can be
modified to the player's requirement:
armor, weapons, crew level, types of
shells, electronics, etc. The aliens
have several unique weapon systems.
Not all nations and ship classes carry
the same equipment. Damage can vary
from a simple dent to massive loss of
equipment."
The Black Water
Universe also includes the games Black
Water Armies (microarmor) and Black
Water Marines (squad level)
and all the games can be
connected. A campaign Where
Are We is available and uses the BW
Navies and BW Marines
rules.
